How To Cancel Your Disney Plus Subscription
If you've ever struggled to cancel a recurring subscription, you're not alone. According to the Federal Trade Commission, some companies have been using "illegal subscription tricks and traps" to hide the true cost of their services or make it difficult for consumers to cancel their subscriptions.
As a result, the FTC is cracking down on companies that engage in these unfair business practices. Under the latest FTC guidelines, a company must make it as easy to cancel as it is to sign up for the service in the first place.
Disney Plus is one of the most popular streaming services available, reaching 164.2 million subscribers in the fourth quarter of 2022. What makes the service so attractive is its vast content library, which includes classic Disney films, Disney Channel original series, and content from the Star Wars and Marvel franchises. In late 2022, the streaming service introduced an ad-supported plan, which costs $7.99 per month. To view content without ads, subscribers must upgrade to Disney Plus Premium at a cost of $10.99 per month.
Due to the 37.5% price increase, some subscribers are now looking to cancel their Disney Plus subscriptions. Keep reading to learn how to cancel a Disney Plus subscription on a web browser, an iPhone, or an Android device.
